Sugar, Sugar, Sugar - What is Chaptalization?

Adding sugar to your cereal, coffee or tea may be commonplace but it is a controversial subject to add sugar in wine. That is what chaptalization is, “sugaring.” This in turn equals higher alcohol levels. Some countries permit chaptalization in certain appellations while others ban it outright.
