Burgundy for beginners…Wanna throw me a Beaune?

Burgundy is more than a reddish color; it’s widely considered to be one of the world’s greatest growing regions and the Holy of Holies for wine aficionados—especially for those who worship Pinot Noir. It’s also where the color’s name comes from. So where to begin your education? Geography. The region is broken up in to smaller appellations such as Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits, followed by the Côte Chalonnaise and Macônnais. Check out the WineTasteTV glossary for more information.
