Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet AC
[kree-oh bah-TAHR mohn-rah-SHAY]
A 3.9-acre vineyard that is the smallest of the GRANDS CRUS in the CÔTE DE BEAUNE district of France’s BURGUNDY region. The vineyard is next to the grand cru BÂTARD-MONTRACHET and is the only grand cru located entirely in the village of CHASSAGNE-MONTRACHET. Considered among the world’s best, Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet AC wines are made from CHARDONNAY grapes. They’re similar to, although perhaps slightly LIGHTER than, those from the neighboring Bâtard-Montrachet AC.
