Rogue Valley AVA
Located in southern Oregon near the California border, this AVA encompasses the towns of Medford and Ashland. This area is warmer than most parts of Oregon and is best known for its CABERNET SAUVIGNON and CHARDONNAY. It has several valleys with varying climatic conditions—Illinois Valley, the westernmost, is cooler; Bear Creek Valley is the warmest. Between the two in climate is APPLEGATE VALLEY.
