Ruchottes-Chambertin AC
[ryoo-SHAWT shahm-behr-TAN]
A small, 8-acre GRAND CRU vineyard that adjoins the grand cru MAZISCHAMBERTIN in the village of GEVREY-CHAMBERTIN. It's located in the CÔTE DE NUITS district of France's BURGUNDY region. These PINOT NOIR-based wines are deeply colored, RICH, intense, TANNIC, and generally good candidates for long AGING. They're considered to be some of the best red wines in the world and, with production of only about 1,000 cases per year, very difficult to find.
