Diablo Grande AVA

A 30,000-acre California AVA established in 1998 in the western foothills of the San Joaquin Valley in Stanislaus County. The area is located 25 to 30 miles east of San Jose and west of Modesto near Patterson. Isom Ranch Winery makes wines from its own vineyards and for Diablo Grande Vineyards. The grapes grown here are BARBERA, CABERNET SAUVIGNON, CABERNET FRANC, CHARDONNAY, MERLOT, PINOT NOIR, RIESLING, SANGIOVESE, SAUVIGNON BLANC, and SYRAH.
