Piesport
[PEEZ-port]

A famous wine-producing village located along the Mosel River southwest of BERNKASTEL in Germany’s MOSELSAAR-RUWER region. It’s situated in the middle of a huge horseshoe-shaped bend in the river, where its steep hillside vineyards get the best southerly exposure. Piesporter wines, which are usually RIPE yet ELEGANT, with powerful BOUQUETS, can be some of the best of this region. The most famous EINZELLAGE is the 300-acre Goldtröpfchen, followed by Falkenberg, Günterslay, and Treppchen
