Nuragus di Cagliari DOC
[noo-RAH-goos dee kah-LYAH-ree]

The largest DOC on the island of SARDINIA (except for those DOCs covering the entire island), Nuragus di Cagliari covers the southern third of the landmass and is centered in the province of Cagliari. The wines, which are made mainly from Nuragus grapes, are DRY, LIGHT, and CRISP thirst quenchers that are mediocre, at best. AMABILE and FRIZZANTE versions are also permitted.
