Mittelmosel
[MIHT-uhl-MOH-zuhl]

One of Germany's best wine-producing areas. Its name, which means "middle Mosel," refers to its location in the central portion of German's MOSEL-SAAR-RUWER region. Its boundaries closely approximate those of the BEREICH BERNKASTEL and include villages such as BRAUNEBERG, BERNKASTEL, GRAACH, PIESPORT, WEHLEN, and ZELTINGEN. The RIESLINGS of Mittelmosel are highly regarded.
