Lavaux
[lah-VOH]

Located east of Lausanne on the north shore of Lake Geneva, Lavaux is one of the three premier growing areas in the Swiss canton of VAUD. It produces primarily white wines (some of Switzerland's best) from CHASSELAS grapes, which grow on the terraced vineyards that make up this area.
