Juliénas AC
[zhoo-lyay-NAH]

One of the smaller of the ten CRUS in France's BEAUJOLAIS region. Juliénas wines, made from GAMAY grapes, are some of the more substantial of the Beaujolais wines. They have deeper color, richer fruitiness, and more TANNINS than most. Along with the wines from MOULIN-À-VENT, those from Juliénas' steep hillsides are considered capable of the longest AGING of the ten Beaujolais crus.
