Twenty different wines are authorized, seventeen VARIETALS plus a BIANCO, a ROSSO, and a Pinot SPUMANTE. The varietal wines are Cabernet (from CABERNET SAUVIGNON and CABERNET FRANC), Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, CHARDONNAY, Franconia, MALVASIA, MERLOT, Pinot Bianco (PINOT BLANC), Pinot Grigio (PINOT GRIS), Pinot Nero (PINOT NOIR), Refosco dal Pe-I duncolo Rosso (REFOSCO), Riesling Italico (WELSCHRIESLING), Riesling Renano (RIESLING), Sauvignon (SAUVIGNON BLANC), TOCAI, Traminer Aromatico (GEWÜRZTRAMINER), and Verduzzo Friulano. The Bianco is made from Tocai, Malvasia, Pinot Bianco, and Chardonnay; the Rosso is made mainly from Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The Pinot Spumante is made from Pinot Bianco, Pinot Nero, and Chardonnay. The red wines made from Merlot and Cabernet grapes are highly regarded, and the white wines made from Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc grapes are starting to gain a good reputation.
