Geisenheim
[GI-zuhn-hime]

Prominent village located southwest of Wiesbaden in Germany's RHEINGAU region. It is known equally for its top-quality RIESLING wines and its school of VITICULTURE and ENOLOGY. The best EINZELLAGEN here are Fuchsberg, Mäuerchen, Mönchspfad, and Rothenberg. The highly regarded wines from Geisenheim have a distinctively EARTHY flavor.
