Goulburn Valley

An Australian wine region located in the Central Victoria Zone of VICTORIA. It's situated about 90 miles north of Melbourne around the town of Nagambie. Its wine history dates to 1850s when vines were first planted. In 1860, investors started the Tahbilk Vineyard Proprietary (eventually called Chateau Tahhbilk), which survived the PHYLLOXERA infestation that partially destroyed area vineyards.
