Griotte-Chambertin AC
[gree-AWT shahm-behr-TAN]

Small (less than 7 acres) GRAND CRU vineyard that produces world-class red wines from PINOT NOIR. It's located in the village of GEVREY-CHAMBERTIN in the CÔTE DE NUITS district of France's BURGUNDY region. Only about 800 cases of this hard-to-find wine are produced, all of it generally of high quality. The wines are RICH, PERFUMED, and COMPLEX, although they won't generally AGE as long as wines from some of the area's other grands crus.
