Fiddletown AVA
A small APPELLATION located east of Sacramento in northern California’s AMADOR COUNTY. This area’s altitude ranges from 1,500 to about 2,500 feet, which makes it cooler than the lower neighboring SHENANDOAH VALLEY AVA. ZINFANDEL is the most popular grape variety here. Eschen Vineyard is a respected Fiddletown grower that sells to a number of wineries.
