The fairly rare white-wine grape that is a CROSS of GEWÜRZTRAMINER and SÉMILLON developed in the 1950s by the UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, DAVIS. As the name suggests, the wines have a floral quality with a high degree of spiciness. They’re usually vinified F medium-sweet to sweet. Never very popular, Flora plantings are now under a hundred acres.
