Friedrich-Wilhelm-Gymnasium
[FREET-rikh VL-hehlm jihm-NAH-zee-uhm]

A famous secondary school founded in 1563 in the city of TRIER in Germany’s MOSEL-SAAR-RUWER region. Its name is well known in wine circles because its endowments include nearly 90 acres of vineyard land located in some of the best villages in the region. The vineyards are planted with about 85 percent RIESLING, and the wines produced are regarded as some of the best of this region.
