Les Baux de Provence AC
[lay bow duh praw-VAHNSS]

A wine-producing APPELLATION located in the western part of the PROVENCE region. Its name comes from the medieval village of the same name. RED and ROSÉ wines are made of various blends of CABERNET SAUVIGNON, CINSAUT, GRENACHE, and MOURVÈDRE. The RHÔNE-like red wines are the most notable. Small amounts of white wine are made from CLAIRETTE, Grenache Blanc (GRENACHE), SAUVIGNON BLANC, and Ugni Blanc (TREBBIANO).
