Bâtard-Montrachet AC
[bah-TAHR mohn-rah-SHAY]

A 29-acre GRAND CRU vineyard located in the CÔTE DE BEAUNE just east of the famous LE MONTRACHET vineyard in France’s BURGUNDY region. Its name comes from the medieval village of the
same name. RED and ROSÉ wines are made of various blends of CABERNET SAUVIGNON, CINSAUT, GRENACHE, and MOURVÈDRE. The RHÔNE-like red wines are the most notable. Small amounts of white wine are made from CLAIRETTE, Grenache Blanc (GRENACHE), SAUVIGNON BLANC, and Ugni Blanc (TREBBIANO).
