Blagny
[blah-NYEE]
A tiny village that straddles the borderline of the MEURSAULT and PULIGNY-MONTRACHET appellations in the CÔTE DE BEAUNE district of France’s BURGUNDY region. Both areas have PREMIER CRU vineyards for white wines, which are made from CHARDONNAY and labeled either Puligny-Montrachet, Meursault, or Meursault-Blagny. The Blagny APPELLATION is only for red wines made from PINOT NOIR grapes.
