Bourgogne Passe-Tout-Grain AC

An APPELLATION that covers the entire BURGUNDY region for wines that are comprised of at least one-third PINOT NOIR and up to two-thirds GAMAY grapes and that are fermented together. This is primarily a red wine AC, although a small amount of ROSÉ is also produced. The wine from this AC is fairly basic and ordinary; however, ongoing vineyard replanting is gradually increasing the available Pinot Noir grapes, which in turn is improving wine quality. Most of Bourgogne Passe-Tout-Grain AC wines come from the CÔTE CHALONNAISE, with small amounts from CÔTE D’OR.
