Bouzy
[boo-ZEE]
An outstanding wine-producing village on the Montagne de Reims in France’s CHAMPAGNE region. Its vineyards have GRAND CRU status with a top rating of 100 percent under the region’s percentage system (see CHAMPAGNE for more information). The grapes are PINOT NOIR, most of which are used to produce SPARKLING WINE, although a small amount of still red wine is bottled under the CÔTEAUX CHAMPENOIS AC.
