Cabardès AC

This new AC WAS upgraded from VDQS status in 1998 and is beginning to gain attention. It's located in France's LANGUEDOC-ROUSSILLON region north of the city of Carcassonne and just west of the MINERVOIS AC. RED and ROSÈ wines are made from a combination of BORDEAUX and RHÔNE grape varieties including CABERNET SAUVI-C GNON, CABERNET FRANC, CINSAUT, Cot (MALBEC), FER, GRENACHE, and SYRAH.
