Wild Horse Valley AVA

A small California AVA established in 1988 and located about 5 miles east of the city of Napa. It lies along Wild Horse Valley at the point where the Solano County line juts into Napa before heading directly east. This region encompasses 3,300 acres in portions of both Napa and Solano counties. It has a cool climate that's affected by air drawn off San Pablo Bay. Although not currently well planted, some Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are grown here.
