California Shenandoah Valley AVA
[shen-uhn-DOH-uh]
A 10,000-acre VITICULTURAL AREA located east of Sacramento, California, in portions of AMADOR and El Dorado Counties. It’s part of the large SIERRA FOOTHILLS AVA in an area northwest of Fiddletown and northeast of Plymouth. ZINFANDEL and SAUVIGNON BLANC are the two most popular varieties here.
