This area produces BIANCO and BIANCO wines. The Bianco, which is made from MALVASIA and TREBBIANO, may be DRY, AMABILE or DOLCE, and STILL or SPUMANTE. The Rosso is made primarily from SANGIOVESE, MONTEPULCIANO, and Cesanese and may be dry or amabile. Bottles labeled RISERVA are higher in ALCOHOL and have been AGED for 2 years.
