Terras do Sado
[tehr-REHSH doh SAH-doh]
A VINHO REGIONAL area in southern Portugal between the Tagus and Sado Rivers surrounding the Setúbal Peninsula just south of Lisbon. The Terras do Sado region includes the PALMELA and SETÚBAL DOCs in its borders. PERIQUITA is this area's primary red grape; MUSCAT OF ALEXANDRIA, the most common white.
