Tinta Barroca; Tinta Barocca
[TEEN-tah behr-RROH-kehr]
A red Portuguese grape primarily used in the DOURO DOC in PORT,to which it contributes a softening effect and fruity aromas. In South Africa, Tinta Barroca is used both for rich, powerful DRY red wines and for PORTlike FORTIFIED WINES.
