tischwein
[TIHSH-vine]

German for TABLE WINE, but referring to common, ordinary wine. It shouldn't be confused with DEUTSCHER TAFELWEIN, which has certain quality requirements. Tischwein is similar to France's VIN ORDINAIRE.
