clavelin
[klav-LAN]
A short fat bottle traditionally used in France’s Jura region for VIN JAUNE from the CHÂTEAU-CHALON AC and in some of the region’s other ACs. The clavelin holds 62 centiliters (equivalent of about 21 ounces) and is also used for more robust potables like EAU DE VIE.
