Côtes de Duras AC

APPELLATION that is located east and just outside of the BORDEAUX region in SOUTHWEST FRANCE. It’s centered around the town of Duras in the French DÉPARTEMENT of Lot-en-Garonne. White wines dominate the production and are made from the favorite white Bordeaux varieties of SAUVIGNON BLANC, SÉMILLON, and MUSCADELLE. The red wines are made from CABERNET SAUVIGNON, CABERNET FRANC, MERLOT, and MALBEC. Both red and white wines should be consumed while they’re young.
