Côtes de la Malepère AC
[koht duh lah mahl-PEHR]
A small APPELLATION located in France’s LANGUEDOC-ROUSSILLON region southwest of the city of Carcassonne. RED and ROSÉ wines are made from a mix of BORDEAUX and RHÔNE grape VARIETIES. For red wines, MERLOT is the primary VARIETY, along with CABERNET SAUVIGNON and CABERNET FRANC. Cot (MALBEC), GRENACHE, CINSAUT, and SYRAH can also be used. Rosé wines are made from Cinsaut, Grenache, Cabernet Franc, and Cot.
