Côtes du Frontonnais AC

Small APPELLATION whose vineyards surround the towns of Fronton and Villaudric just north of the city of Toulouse in SOUTHWEST FRANCE. Côtes du Frontonnais produces red and ROSÉ wines that must include a minimum of 50 percent of a local grape variety called NÉGRETTE. It’s blended with CABERNET SAUVIGNON, CABERNET FRANC, SYRAH, and GRENACHE, among others. The wines can be very smooth and supple, have flavor aspects of strawberry and raspberry, and be capable of medium-term AGING.
