Côtes du Jura AC

Large APPELLATION that covers most of eastern France’s Jura region near the Swiss border. The Côtes du Jura AC encompasses red, white, and ROSÉ wine, as well as VIN JAUNE, VIN DE PAILLE, and SPARKLING WINE. The grapes used for the red and rosé wines are PINOT NOIR, Poulsard, and Trousseau; for white wines they’re CHARDONNAY, PINOT BLANC, and SAVAGNIN, the Jura specialty. Among the region’s vineyards that have their own appellation are ARBOIS AC, CHÂTEAU-CHALON AC, and L’ÉTOILE AC.
