Schlossböckelheim
[SHLAWSS BUH-kuhl-hime]

A prime wine-producing village located southwest of BAD KREUZNACH in Germany's NAHE region. The village produces top-quality RIESLINGS from its top vineyard sites, which include Kupfergrube, Felsenberg, and Königsfels. The name Schlossböckelheim is also used in the name of the BERIECH that covers this area (the southern part of the Nahe region), in which case it's usually split into two words—Beriech Shloss Böckelheim. The area's GROSSLAGE, which covers other surrounding villages as well, also uses this village's name—Grosslage Schlossböckelheimer Burweg.
